KoCA Inn ist ein Lebensraum, der eine Vielfalt an Möglichkeiten bietet: ein Mini-Hotel, eine mobile Küche und eine Tauschbörse, einen Showroom, Lounge mit Tanzfläche, sowie einen Schwarzmarkt für interessante Fähigkeiten und (un)nützes Wissen, einen Konferenzraum und einen Spielsalon, einen Strand mit Spielplatz und Touristenbüro.
Alles optimiert auf eine Fläche von 62 qm!!
Die improvisierte, prekäre, großteils wiederverwendete und niemals fertige Struktur des KoCA Inn macht den Kiosk und sein direktes Umfeld zu einem Dispositiv, die Konsumkultur, wie auch die Sicherheit und Vorhersehbarkeit des hiesigen öffentlichen Raumes zu diskutieren. Mit einem dichten Programm aus unterschiedlichsten Aktionen und durch spontane und organisierte Mithilfe der Öffentlichkeit soll die Kiosk-Kreuzung zur offenen, informellen Plattform werden.
Concept
KoCA Inn is an evolving living space that offers to passers-by a variety of facilities: a mini-hotel, a mobile-kitchen, a trade center, a showroom, a lounge with dance hall, a black-market of knowledge and skills, a conference room, a gambling saloon, a beach with play-ground, and a tourist office.
All this in an optimized 62sqm area.
The improvised, precarious, recycled, never-finished structure of KoCA Inn will transform the Kiosk and its surroundings in a device to question consumption as well as the security and predictability of local public spaces. With a dense programme of various activities, where spontaneous or organized collaboration of the public is expected, Weimar’s central intersection will be reconverted into an open, informal platform.
